For those of you interested in what the Master's Artists have been doing, we do a monthly Wednesday Wrapup.
BJ Hamrick: I'll be taking the summer off to focus on my tanning needs. (If you're my agent -- I just put that up to scare you.) Here's the real news:
My new interactive website just went live: www.bjhamrick.com!
I'll be doing 4 humor pieces for the newspaper, which can also be
found on my blog weekly.
I'll also be working on my speaking schedule -- check out my website
if you're interested in having a humorist speak to your teen group.
Mary DeMuth: I’ll be speaking at the Write to Publish Conference June 3—6. I’m looking forward to it, as it will be my first time there. I hope to do a triathlon the following weekend. And I’ll be gathering information for writing someone’s memoir.
I’ll speak for a group of moms at my church mid-month, and I’ll be employing my daughter, driving kids places, and swimming in the neighborhood pool. What I love about Texas: I’ll have tomatoes by the end of June! Yum!
Donna J. Shepherd: Dotty's Topsy Tale has been released - finally. That little book had a long journey to publication. During the first couple weeks of June, I'm participating in a blog tour with several other children's book authors. Should be fun. The illustrations for Poodle & Doodle are almost finished. It will be released in print, as an eBook, and something new - on iTunes.
I also set up a Facebook page. Although I had a difficult time at first, I'm starting to get the hang of it. On the speaking front, I'll teach a workshop at the Captivating Women Quarterly in June.
Unlike BJ, I don't tan. I don't raise tomatoes like Mary, but I can guarantee a busy summer. Life's just more fun when the days are full. Don't you agree?
