Greg Wolfe on The MA

  • "An excellent example of a group blog, a true community of like-minded but highly individual writers. . . . Topics range from the state of Christian publishing to craft issues to lyrical meditations on writing as a spiritual discipline."

GREGORY WOLFE in Christianity Today, March 2008

  • The Master's Artist is a group blog for writers united by the blood of Christ and a love for language. We come from different backgrounds, have different theological outlooks, and are interested in a wide variety of genres and artforms. The opinions expressed belong to their authors alone -- and you're welcome to share yours.

Good points, Dee. I wonder at all of us sometimes. I wonder why some of us elevate men/women to the point of idolatry. I wonder why "the pastor" is placed on such a high level that he's not accountable for HIS sins as we are for ours. I wonder at it all--how humans can screw up the beauty of "the church". So disappointing. And tiresome.

Dee - The photo above coupled with your article sent me back to the 80s and a song sung by Sheila Walsh, written by Phil Keaggy. It's called Jesus Loves the Church (lyrics here: ) The words that came to my mind from this song were "battered, wounded bride"

Very sad. But Jesus still loves the church/
